Posted on 26 Feb 2010 by Jay WWE.com has confirmed that "Hurricane" Shane Helms has been released along with Paul Burchill. Burchill's been with the company since 2005 which is sad as they never really gave him much of a chance. At least he still wasn't a pirate...he'd have to play that for the rest of his life on the indy scene if that were the case. As for Helms, it's a shame but someone had to go punished for that drunken fight that made it to TMZ. You have to wonder if TNA will be knocking at his door to bring him into the X Division? As far as I know, he's still dating Velvet Sky so why not? Ric Flair's wife was arrested and charged with assault. Wooo! Slick Ric knows how to pick 'em! After a backstage altercation several weeks ago, Awesome Kong is finally moving forward and pressing charges against Bubba "The Love Sponge". And thank god! Hopefully this will shut him up until the case is done with. He's such a tool. ECW's Tiffany and Savannah both have nude photos popping up all over the internet. Just finish this article before you start surfing for them please! WWE's NXT debuted with a 1.8 rating which is higher than ECW's ever drawn in recent memory. Maybe they could focus on NXT beating TNA in the ratings? Daniel Bryan was a huge hit on the show and it seems like WWE is very high on him. And finally, who's looking forward to WrestleMania? A few big matches were announced: Undertaker Vs. Shawn Michaels, John Cena Vs. Batista, the Money In The Bank Match is still in effect, and Edge Vs. Chris Jericho. This is looking like it's going to be quite the event with an amazingly stacked card. Oh yeah, and TNA just pulled Flair out of retirement. He's teaming with AJ Styles to take on Hogan and Abyss...really? Yes...really. See ya next time! Content Management Powered by CuteNews
